END OF COLLECTION DONATIONS TO OPENING CONCERT

Over time, the task will become easier: if those who want the Festspielhaus unerringly work together, building the concert hall will be possible - just in time for Beethoven's 250th Birthday in 2020.

Mid-2012 :
In  late June the Bonn city council decides on the question of whether the city actually will provide the Location in the Rheinaue to build the concerthall.

End of 2012 :
In addition to the 5-10 million euros which were collected before the end of the year by the campaign " 5000 for Beethoven" , there is also the prospect of participation of other major sponsors who joined with the Deutsche Post. The city has so far spent not a penny for the Festspielhaus.

Mid-2013 :
The foundation that procures the money for the operational costs is established. The interest generated from the foundation ( min. €800,000 p.a,) can be partly invested in the further preparation.

End of 2014 :
" 5000 for Beethoven" has collected about 20 million euros, the city has won more major sponsors because of the civil movement of the Festspielhaus.

Mid-2015 :
The necessary financial resources are gathered by citizens, businesses and sponsors. Now the city has to spend the money for the first time: according to the plans drawn, the chosen site for the construction of the Festspielhaus is prepared.  New Year's Eve 2015/16 : All Festspielhaus friends look forward to the groundbreaking ceremony  Summer 2016: The construction begins. The experience of our major sponsors as builders will ensure that the construction will be finished by a certain date and that the cost will not surpass the allocated amount.

No later than Spring 2019:
Opening week of the festival theater with the greatest artists of classical music and guests from around the world.
